Welcome to Airport Community Schools

Welcome to Airport Community Schools’ new website.  We are very proud of the new-look site and all the information it makes available to our community, students, and staff.  We are very pleased that the technology department took on the challenge of creating a new website that provides information very quickly to the visitors and also is nice to look at.  Software Specialist, Rhonda Miller, worked very hard on developing a state-of-the-art site that functions quickly and accurately.  We hope this site proves to be helpful to all users and we are excited to be able to make our students and their achievements a highlight of the site.  If at any time you have any constructive suggestions that can make this site easier to use or we are missing some key information that may help, please do not hesitate to contact us at webmaster@airport.k12.mi.us.

Sincerely,

John Krimmel
Superintendent

January is School Board Recognition Month

January is School Board Recognition Month—a time to salute the work of our volunteer school board members and to celebrate public education.

The theme, “School Boards LeadStrong,” reflects our combined commitment to leadership and accountability assuring that ALL children succeed.

It’s an exciting and challenging time in public education. School board members in the Airport Community Schools develop policies and make tough decisions that help shape the future of our education system.  They are citizens whose decisions affect our children and build our communities.  Our board of education, and the hundreds like it across the state, preserve the core of our democracy—public education. They ensure that decisions on school programming are made by people we’ve elected to represent our community’s values, culture and circumstances.

Showing appreciation for the important work of our school board should be a year-round process, but too often we neglect to recognize the dedication and hard work of these men and women who represent us.

Thank you to the men and women who dedicate countless personal hours to ensure the needs of our community are met by our public schools. We salute the public servants of the Airport Community Schools whose dedication and civic responsibility make local control of public schools in our community possible.
